Happy first day of Winter!

I look at this as not as the beginning of the dark dreary days of gray skies and cold temperatures but as the start of the days getting longer and hopefully more sunshine!

This is also the first day of my 3rd week of carb tapering. My goal for this week is to keep the total carbs at around 50 grams. I already know that Christmas is on Thursday and I am going to try my best to be careful with what I eat. But I’m also willing to extend grace to myself as well. “Progress not perfection” someone once told me.

And as it is Sunday, I did my weekly weigh in. I am very glad to report that I am down another 3.5 pounds to 396.3! My total since beginning this journey is now approximately 11.5 pounds. Another great thing about the weigh in this morning was that my scale decided for the first time ever to measure my body composition percentages. Always good to make sure that you are losing fat and not muscle. I will hopefully be able to share those stats with you as well.

For my accountability – I want to report that yesterday my carb total was 78/75.
