There is a saying in life that we all will eventually have to pay the piper for what we have done. Hopefully the price is not too serious.

I can say that my current lifestyle journey is the price that I’m paying for the type of foods that I have been eating over the past decades. I am very thankful for the fact that I only have some “minor” health issues that can be addressed by watching what I eat. Others have lost limbs, sight, and even in some cases their lives. So, I while I wish I had made these changes years ago I’m glad to be making them now.

I have decided to rethink my carb goals for now. I am really having difficulty sticking to getting under 25 grams daily. I was doing well with getting it under 50 grams and was seeing progress. So, starting this week, my ideal goal is 25 grams, but 50 grams will be my upper limit.

My weekly weigh in does show evidence of my need to tighten up my food choices.

Up a little bit but I’m still happy with my progress so far. The total is 0.6 pounds up from last week and 16.2 pounds lost since starting on December 7, 2025.
